Winter is big time for big catfish

I've fished with two of the best catfish anglers in the South, and this is the time of year they gear up for the big'uns. For some unexplained reason, but true nonetheless, catfish weighing more than 30 pounds are easier to catch during the cold weather months - just the opposite of what I grew up believing.
